Paul Edgeworth is the Lib Dem candidate for the Houghton and Sunderland South constituency at the next General Election.

Paul was born and raised in Sunderland, attending Southmoor Comprehensive School as well as St Roberts in Washington. Paul currently works as Campaigns Manager for consumer organisation CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) working with volunteers, communities and organisations to secure changes in the law and to get support from the Government and local councils to help keep well-run local pubs open, alive and thriving.

Paul wants to provide an opposition voice for residents and to end decades of complacency from Labour MPs on Wearside.

This constituency covers Houghton, Hetton, Penshaw and Shiney Row, together with the Doxford Park, Farringdon, Grindon, Herrington, Lakeside, Pennywell, Silksworth, South Hylton, Springwell, Thorney Close and Tunstall areas of Sunderland.
