Bring back the council's free parking after 3pm scheme

Liberal Democrats on Wearside are calling on Sunderland Council bosses to U-turn on their ‘idiotic move’ to hike city centre parking charges and scrap the popular ‘Free After 3pm’ scheme in Council car parks.

It's feared that increasing parking charges will drive residents away from the City Centre to retail parks like the Galleries and the Metrocentre.
